Converse Bank Business Lounge EVN

Review: Converse Bank Business Lounge in Zvartnots Yerevan International Airport (EVN)

As my month-long Caucasus trip ended in Armenia, it was time to go home. From Yerevan to San Francisco, one of the more viable route options was through Qatar Airways. But, the flight is at a rather difficult time at 3:30am! Regardless, I headed over to the airport from the Holiday Inn at 1am and check out the airport’s only lounge, the Converse Bank Business Lounge.

How to get into Business Lounge in EVN

The lounge is located on top of the Duty Free shop of the airport after security check and passport control. Also, Business Class passengers get an expedited line which is cool!

Find the stairs and elevators leading up to the next floor behind an Ararat shelf. To access the lounge for free, you need to be a Business Class passenger or have Priority Pass Select. In my case, I was able to get access with my upcoming Qatar Airways Business Class flight on the 787-8 on the way to Doha.

After climbing the sitars, you’ll first see the reception desk where you’ll present your boarding pass and lounge pass to enter.

The lounge is laid out in a long rectangular plan with food and beverage stations placed on the sides. It is a small lounge, and I was surprised it was very busy even at odd hours like 2-3am. But, I have a feeling it’s what it’s always like in EVN.

You can overlook the boarding gates from the lounge behind glass covers.

In the middle of the lounge is a circular bar where you can sample Ararat, a brandy brand from Armenia. I think it’s neat, but I don’t drink much alcohol.

The food and beverage stations are on the sides of the lounge, and there are two of them. Food options are limited to cakes, fruits, and bite-sized sandwiches. The drink options are water, soda, juice, coffee, and tea.

Conclusion

The Converse Bank Business Lounge in EVN is a very limited lounge with limited space and food options. It gets crowded even at odd hours like 3am. Though I think the bar in the middle is great if you enjoy drinking, especially brandy.
