Review: JAL Embraer E190 Economy Class (ITM-NGS)

Route: ITM-NGS

Flight No: JL 2375

Depart: 1:05PM

Arrive: 2:20PM

Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

Plane: Embraer E190

After my stay at Roku Kyoto, I head down to Nagasaki for the first time by plane from Osaka. Kyoto Station has a direct shuttle to ITM that made going to the neighboring city’s regional airport easily.

JAL Embraer E190 Booking

I booked a one-way ticket in cash for around $70, which is typical price for a domestic Japan flight.

JAL Embraer E190 Flight Experience

The flight to Nagasaki was departing from Gate 19, located in the far right wing of the airport. It felt a lot more isolating than the rest of the airport. There was no lounge I could access in ITM with an Economy Class ticket.

Boarding process was smooth, and it wasn’t a full flight. I took a quick snapshot of the Business Class seats which look way too similar to Economy Class, except a thicker armrest, different color on the flaps, and slightly more cushion to the seats. Both class are set in 2-2 configuration.

I was lucky to get the whole row to myself! I do like the jet black colors of the seats.

Other than the tray table, there’s not much to the seat.

It’s always a delight to see workers in tarmac waving as we’re about to takeoff whenever I fly in Japan. I can’t help but to always wave back at them!

The service on this very short flight is limited to just one cup of drink. I chose tea, but there are other choices like coffee, juice, soda, or water.

There’s also a very reliable and fast Wi-Fi service. There’s instructions in both Japanese and English in how to activate. This made the flight feel very short as I kept myself entertained on my phone.

Then I checked out the lavatory. Pretty standard.

Once we were about to land in Nagasaki, there’s a gorgeous view of the Omura Bay, the huge body of water right in the center of Nagasaki Prefecture.

Then, I finally landed in Nagasaki Airport, and made my way for the direct shuttle to Nagasaki Station to then check-in at the Nagasaki Marriott Hotel.

Conclusion

It was a very pleasant short flight into Nagasaki from Osaka. I loved how fast and reliable the Wi-Fi was in JAL, and the Omura Bay view was simply stunning to see.
