Review: Mugam Lounge in Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Terminal 2 (GYD)
I’m backtracking back to Tbilisi to catch a train to Yerevan since there’s no flights from Azerbaijan to Armenia due to obvious reasons. The AZAL flight to Tbilisi is in GYD’s Terminal 2 where it mainly deals with domestic flights or short international flights, like to Georgia. So, I waited inside the Mugam Lounge as it’s the only lounge available in Terminal 2.
How to get into Mugam Lounge in GYD T2
Mugam Lounge can be accessed with Priority Pass which I got from my Amex Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant Card. It’s located after passport control.
Inside Mugam Lounge in GYD T2
To access the lounge, you must present your boarding pass and, in my case, my Priority Pass card. Digital card will also work fine.
The lounge has rows of seats with a singular TV. But, there’s no flight info display inside so be wary of your boarding time. The picture below is pretty much the whole lounge in one picture.
There’s one corner just steps way from the reception with cushioned seats.
Food and beverage options are limited to nuts, fruits, sweets, and cold cuts. Coffee, tea, soda, juice, and alcohol are available for drinks.
The food in the bottom row of the cooler can be heated in microwave, which you can ask the lounge attendant for.
That’s all for the Mugam Lounge.
Conclusion
The Mugam Lounge in GYD’s Terminal 2 is nothing special. It’s a very small lounge, but I never expected anything grand for a lounge in a smaller terminal. But hey, at least it’s a little bit better than the Absheron Lounge I visited back in 2021 in the main terminal!
