EDITION Hotels 35K FNC Redemptions

EDITION Hotels You Could Book with Marriott Bonvoy 35K Free Night Certificates

35k Free Night Certificates can be earned through Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless and Amex Marriott Bonvoy Business Card that cost $95 and $125 in annual fee respectively. Despite how basic a 35K FNC looks, it’s still possible to redeem them at luxurious Marriott properties belonging to a brand like EDITION.

We now know that Marriott still secretly assign categories to their hotels, and with that information, we can infer the possibility of our Free Night Certificates, as we can top them up with up to 15,000 Marriott points. In case of 35k FNC’s, we could redeem a hotel that would charge 50,000 Marriott points at most.

Here’s the secret Marriott award chart:

9C (StR/RC Maldives)70,000164,000
RC Reserve Zadun (Cat 11)131,000212,000
RC Reserve Dorado Beach (Cat 12)170,000254,000
Nujuma, RC Reserve (Cat 12)163,000299,500

There’s less than 20 EDITION properties worldwide currently. Compared to Marriott’s other luxury brands (Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, Luxury Collection, W, & JW Marriott), EDITION hotels tend to be rated higher regarding their Category levels.

The hotels listed below are all Category 6, which appears to be the minimum for EDITION properties. While it’s hard to redeem 35k FNC’s on Cat 6 hotels, they’re not impossible. But, you must pick your dates carefully and tailor your trip around the hotel redemption. Whether that’s worth the hassle or not is up to you.

50K FNC’s would give you better chances on redeeming at these EDITION properties, however.

The Abu Dhabi EDITION

While Dubai EDITION is out of reach for 35k FNC, the EDITION in UAE’s capital is within range of possibility for 35k FNC plus topups.

The Jeddah EDITION

A brand new EDITION in Saudi Arabia, and the newest one on this list.

The only resort-type EDITION that’s possible for 35K FNC redemption.

The Shanghai EDITION

A hotel situated close to the Bund. It’s set at the same Category level as the W Shanghai.

The Singapore EDITION

Southeast Asia’s first EDITION hotel that’s set at Cat 6 along with its fellow Marriott hotels like St. Regis and JW Marriott.

There are few EDITION hotels where you can possibly redeem 35K FNC’s on (with topups). But in my view, the options aren’t as appealing due to the lesser elite benefits EDITION hotels offer, especially when there are cities that have competing properties within vicinity like Shanghai and Singapore.

Though, The Sanya EDITION looks very nice, and may be worth planning around for if you’re into resorts.
